Prophylaxis of the teeth

A dental prophylaxis is a cleaning procedure that cleans the teeth and gums thoroughly. Dental prophylaxis is a crucial dental treatment for preventing the growth of gingivitis and periodontitis. Cleaning the teeth of a woman.

Dental prophylaxis is an excellent method for maintaining the mouth cavity healthy and preventing gum disease from progressing.

The following are some of the advantages of professional tooth cleaning:

Plaques must be removed. Tartar (also known as calculus) and plaque buildup can cause major periodontal disease both above and below the gum line. Unfortunately, even with a good home brushing and flossing practice, all debris, bacteria, and deposits in gum pockets can’t be removed. To catch potentially dangerous buildup, a dentist or hygienist with experience and specific dental equipment is required.

A smile that appears to be healthy. Teeth that are stained or yellowed can drastically reduce the attractiveness of a smile. Prophylaxis is an excellent treatment for removing these ugly stains from the teeth.

Fresher smelling breath. Bad breath (or halitosis) is a sign of periodontal disease that is progressing. Bad breath is caused by decomposing food particles (perhaps below the gum line) and possible gangrene caused by gum infection. Routine plaque, calculus, and bacteria removal at our facility can significantly alleviate halitosis and infection.

At our office, we provide professional dental cleaning. We recommend that prophylaxis be conducted twice a year as a prophylactic measure, but every 3-4 months for periodontitis patients. It should be noted that while gum disease cannot be totally reversed, Dr. Banga can employ dental prophylaxis to effectively halt its progression.
