At our Oral Health Center Dental Care Westerville office, we are aware of the new rules implemented for the COVID-19 pandemic as well as follow them diligently. To ensure that our patients and staff are safe, our office observes the infection control recommendations created by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
We implemented the following changes for better protection of our staff as well as our patients:
Prescreening – Over phone
- We will be talking and asking you a few screening questions before you visit our office. Similar questions will be asked on your appointment.
Temperature Check
- There will be a temperature check on every staff and patient before entering our office.
Hand sanitizer and preprocedural Rinse
- Hand sanitizer is available and must be used before entry. It is also available in the reception as well as other areas in the office. Moreover, before proceeding with your treatment, you will be asked to rinse with hydrogen peroxide.
Waiting area
- Magazines, children’s toys, and other entertainment devices are no longer available in our waiting room to prevent multiple physical contacts on objects that are hard to disinfect.
- Social distancing is practiced between patients.
- To lessen the contact between patients, some will be recommended to wait in their cars.
- Our staff will make every effort to shorten the waiting time and lessen the number of patients in the waiting area for lesser exposure.
Sanitize surfaces
- Stationary sanitizing is regularly conducted on surfaces with constant physical contact such as door knobs.
